    About Me

    Hi there!

I’m Iris Marsh, a behavioral researcher turned writer. Because of my fascination with psychology, I always focus as much on my characters’ journeys as well as the plot. My YA fantasy debut novel Illuminated is no exception. It’s suspenseful and heavy on character development. Currently, I live in the Netherlands with my partner and cat.

    the sand sea book review

The Sand Sea by Michael McClellan

The Sand Sea was a bit of an anti-climax for me. It was called an epic fantasy of J. R. R. Tolkien proportions, so I was ready to have this be my next favorite book. So, were my expectations too high? Perhaps. Don’t get me wrong; there were still plenty

Indie Reading Challenge 2020: Long Titles

    Holy Sister book review

    Holy Sister by Mark Lawrence

Holy Sister (Ace publisher) is the conclusion of honestly one of the best coming-of-age fantasy trilogies I’ve ever read. The story builds further on the events of Grey Sister, coming to a satisfying conclusion. It brings together every thread of this and the previous books, finally giving is the full

Indie Reading Challenge 2020: Little-Known Books

Little-known books can still be totally worth it! The fact is, it is tough out there for the self-published author, with many books available on Amazon to compete with. So, just because a book doesn’t have that many reviews, doesn’t mean it’s not good. Still, reviews are extremely important for
