Thank you for visiting my website & welcome! If you’re looking at this page, you likely want to know more about what books I review, how I review, and what format I accept. So here’s all that info neatly put down for you.
I accept both Ebooks and physical books. If you like to send me an ebook, I prefer the .epub format over the Kindle format. Physical books do have my preference, since I will also take pictures of the book to post on Instagram, Pinterest, and the blog post itself, and these pictures just tend to be nicer with physical copies.
I’ve also recently joined Netgalley, so it’s possible to send me an invite for your book through Netgalley as well.
Genres I review
I read from a wide variety of genres, but the reviews for this blog are mainly limited to Fantasy or Sci-fi books (both YA and Adult). So if your book has a fantasy or sci-fi element to it, it’s more likely I will review your book. To give some examples of the genres I read:
- YA or Adult Fantasy
What I won’t review:
- Books without any fantasy or sci-fi element
I will do a full review on your book and post it on my blog and on Goodreads.
For the review, I will look at the story, the characters, the world-building, and the writing style. All the reviews I write do not have spoilers. Also, while I will be honest in my review, I will never be overly negative and put the book or the author down in any way.
The end of the blog post will always have a purchase link to the book.
On the blog, I do not use a rating system, but I do give a star-rating when I post my review on Goodreads.
I will also do more book-lists centered around a theme in the future, and this list may then also include your book. I do always do mini-reviews at the end of the month of the books I read in that particular month, so your book will then also be included. You can see an example of this here.
Where I share the review
When I review a book, I will always do my best to share it around as much as possible. So here are the ways I get the word out:
Note that for Instagram I will take pictures of your book. Unless otherwise requested, I will share the review on all these outlets.
Though I wish I could review everything, the reality is that I can’t. I will consider all requests I get over email, and will always try to reply in a timely manner. If for any reason you haven’t heard from me in a week, please shoot me a reminder and I will get back to you.
If I agree to the review, know that it may take some time before the review will appear. If for any reason you would like the review to appear on a specific time (for instance, right before or after the release date), please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate you.
I will also pertain the right to decide not to review the book after all.
By contacting me with a request to review, you acknowledge and respect that I am obligated to write my honest opinion. All assessments are my own and are not meant to be biased or cause harm in any way. Upon receiving and reading a book, I reserve the right to decline a review if it is poorly edited, in bad taste, or I end up disliking it to the extreme. I will inform you, briefly, why I declined the review.
What I need from you
