Wonderful Bookmarks to make a Book Lover Happy

Bookmarks are an item that will make any book lover instantly happy. I’ll admit, I’ve used many things as bookmarks over the years (receipts, cards, etc.), and I even have — please don’t hate me — made dog ears to mark my place. But nothing beats using a bookmark, especially if they look amazing!

So here’s a list with my picks of bookmarks!

    Peter Pauper Press

This company has quite a couple of cute bookmarks. They’re all printed on sturdy cardstock and they all have tassels. I have two of these, and I love to use them. My cat’s also a huge fan of the tassels. The string tying the tassels together might come loose, but that’s not too big a deal. The bookmark itself is pretty sturdy; there’s not a scratch on them yet.

My favorite? This one with ‘I Read Past My Bedtime’ and a cute fox on it. But be sure to check out the other ones, as they’re also really cute. They have kitties, galaxy-themed bookmarks, and bookish ones with an open book and a quote. You can’t go wrong with one of these!

    Abiyx Bookmarks

Want handcrafted bookmarks? Then Abiyx is the place for you! She creates these beautiful bookmarks with splashing colors. All are printed on sturdy paper (on both sides) with a glossy finish. Many of the bookmarks have a Harry Potter theme, but there are also some funny food ones and with Star Wars theme.

I have these gorgeous Phoenix and Occamy bookmarks. I just love the vibrant colors; they make me happy every time I open my book. So be sure to check out her shop and give those bookmarks a browse!

    WatercolorDreamsES

More into pretty aquarelles? Then you’ll want the beautifully crafted bookmarks by WatercolorDreams. She has them for the Witcher, Star Wars (baby Yoda!), Harry Potter, and more! The colors are soft and pretty, and all bookmarks are laminated and sturdy.

I actually have three: one of the Witcher, one of Baby Yoda, and this one of Hedwig. The quality is really good, and you get what’s promised in the picture. Definitely worth checking out this bookmark and others in her shop.

    Magnetic Bookmarks

I’d never tried magnetic bookmarks before, but they’re really convenient! Especially if you review books, it’s quite handy to use them to indicate an important passage you want to revisit when you’re writing the review.

I have magnetic bookmarks with these adorable sloths on them. I don’t know why, but sloths just appeal to me (I do know why–I’m lazy too). They’re a bit more fragile than normal bookmarks. They’re made of paper, and the magnets are attached to them. So keep that in mind.

I haven’t tried these ones out, but I do really like how they look. So, if sloths or other fun figures aren’t your jam, you can also go for these pretty pastel colors. They also have them with shades of green, pink/purple, floral patterns, and more!

    Printable Bookmarks

Don’t want to wait for your bookmarks to arrive? Then perhaps printable bookmarks are the option for you. On Book Street has a large collection of printable bookmarks. This means, once you buy it, you can print the design over and over again. But you do have to print it yourself. Make sure you have sturdy paper (preferably with a glossy finish), and that your printer can handle it. Otherwise, you can print them at your local print shop.

The designs all look amazing. I especially like this one, with its fantasy flare and romantic look. But they have many, many more, so I definitely recommend checking them out. Just note that you do get it one-sided, so if you want to print it two-sided, you have to put the settings on the printer yourself. But this also means you can buy two different designs and print them on the same bookmark. The possibilities are endless.

    Personalized bookmarks

There’s no better bookworm gift than a personalized bookmark. Or order one for yourself, of course. This leather bookmark looks beautiful, and you can choose the colors and the print (up to 10 characters, including A-Z, number 0-9, and the symbols . & , ♥).

    Funny bookmarks

A bit of whimsy never hurt anybody, so that’s where these bookmarks come in! They’re more expensive than the average bookmark, but that’s fair when you consider they’re handmade. I’m honestly quite sad that they don’t ship to my country… I would so love to buy one!

They have several different ones, including one with the legs of the wicked witch, a mermaid tail, and a sloth! (I think it’s clear by now I love sloths).

But the coolest one? This awesome Game of Thrones-themed bookmark! Which fantasy lover doesn’t want to have a dragon’s tail sticking out of their book? It also has a very true quote: “It simply isn’t an adventure worth telling, if there aren’t any dragons.” They have a bunch of other bookmarks that are all very cool, so it’s worth taking a look.

    Bookmarks a-plenty

So, those are some of my picks when it comes to bookmarks. Which ones are your favorite? Did you get any? What are your thoughts on these bookmarks?

I hope you will enjoy these bookmarks, either for yourself or as a gift to someone else.
